Harajuku Style.

 Harajuku is one of the most renowned fashion capital in the world. Harajuku is the name of an area around Harajuku station in Tokyo. This area becomes famous of its residents' passion of fashion. It was the habit of the people around to spend the holiday as well as week end to hang out around the area wearing distinctive dresses on their own style. Then it grows becoming trend. Therefore it becomes style mark of the area.

The people themselves are not solely wearing dresses for a human being. They used their creativity to mix and match dresses. The style tastes originality and distinctive from others. It also sets a new fashion trend called Harajuku Style with its own followers.

There are some famous styles born in Harajuku fashion communities. Among of them are Kawaii, Cyber Punk, Lolita Fashion, Punk Style, Ganguro, Cosplay and Ura Hara. Originalities make them popular amid the glam of fashion world.


Kawaii seems to be akind of traditional style yet it is not. It is such style of a new young generation in Harajuku. One popular style is Lolita, it mixes the style of Victorian and Gothic. It much presents innocent sense. Sometimes it is a replica of idols. Another popular one is Cosplay. It replicates the style of an iconic character from movies, anime even manga.

This Japan originated style has spread throughout the universe. Even some international artists use this style in their performance.
